Why not to choose Honda Activa 6G
As Honda Activa 6G is now offering BS6 complaint engine. It always used to rank 1st in terms of sales, so no doubt you should buy this scooter. But as you know nothing is perfect there So here we are giving you 5 reason, why not to choose Honda Activa 6G.
Here the reason
No Alloy wheels
As we know Honda Active 6G comes with the 12 inches’ wheel, which gives decent wheelbase. Now the users need alloy wheels to enhance the overall looks of this scooter. All competitors of this scooter are offering alloy wheels, even you get alloy wheels as standard in TVS Jupiter. I was not expecting alloy wheels as standard but it would be available at higher variant.
Alloy wheels are more stylish wheels as compare to metal wheel. You also find low maintenance in Alloy wheels.
Looks
Honda Activa 6G is not getting a proper update in its looks since 2nd generation. We expected that the 6th generation of this scooter might be a game changer in terms of looks. But we couldn’t find it, slightly different looks are there. Honda should work on Activa’s looks. The biggest reason behind it is the people who wouldn’t accept huge changes in its looks. Honda can’t take the risk with its best-selling scooter. If we taking about changes so you get chrome garnish at the front, where the shape of this element has change.
No Disc brake option
You don’t get disc brake option in this scooter, combined braking system is there as standard. But We expected disc brake option in this scooter but we couldn’t get it in Honda Activa 6G. if It was available in its upper variant so It would be a great option for you. Jupiter and Access 125 both are offering this safety feature.

No Digital meter console
In Honda Activa 6G you don’t get digital meter console option in this scooter, where it was available in its previous generation. First time I have seen that a useful feature has been removed. Previously it was available in its deluxe variant. I know digital meter is not common in this segment but Honda would have provided this in higher variant. I am not expecting fully digital meter, but semi digital meter could have been available.

Power
In the BS6 avtar of this scooter you get 7.68 PS power, where in 5G you were getting more power. When we talk about Access 125 so here you get 8.72 PS power. But when we talk about Jupiter so it offers 7.4PS power in BS6 variant. Power figure are not too bad but it could have been better.
Conclusion
In this blog we discussed all disadvantages of Honda Activa 6G but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t value for many scooter. Because when we talk about durability, after sale service & parts availability so Activa 6G always comes first. For fun fact I wanna tell you that If you compare the top 10 scooters sales so, only Honda sales figures are more that rest of 9 scooters total sales.
