Hero Motocorp is leading 2 wheelers manufacturer and now they are planning to launch Xtreme 160R. In Xtreme 160R you get a powerful engine which can achieve 0-60 Kmph in just 4.7 sec. Here we are going to discuss about Xtreme 160R. Here we are giving you the detailed review of Xtreme 160R.

Looks

In terms of looks you get decent looks in this bike which is quite impressive in Hero Motocorp Portfolio. Xtreme 160 doesn’t look as same as previous Xtreme bikes. It offers some different looks which we haven’t seen in Hero Motocorp previous bikes. The fuel tank of this bike is also changed and makes it muscular. Tail lamp of this scooter is also looks different.

Engine

Here you get BS-6 complaint 160CC 2 valve engine which generates the power of 15 PS. When we talk about Torque so here you get 14Nm of torque which is similar as other competitors. The best thing is the speed, you get 60 Kmph in 4.7 sec. In terms of low end, you can compare it with any 160cc bike. 160R comes with the 2 valve air cooled engine where competitors are offering 4 valve oil cooled engine. As you get 2 valve engine in his bike so the power and torque figures are decent. The engine of this bike really perform very well and you can’t find any issue there. In that BS-6 engine you can feel the smoothness and refinement levels in this bike.

Features

Xtreme 160R comes with some attractive features like hazard light switch, which makes it different as compare to its competitors. Here you also get fully digital meter console which is also new for Xtreme series. In the digital meter gear position indicator is missing there. Here I have seen LED inside indicators which is also not common in this segment. Side stand engine cut-off also on offer which is also not common but very useful feature.

Headlamp

Here you get LED headlamp in this bike, which is now common in this segment. The element design of this headlamp is different. Sometimes the headlamp reminds you Hornet, what’s your opinion please let me know in the comment box below.

Safety

When we talk about safety here you get single channel ABS as standard. Xtreme 160R comes with 276MM petal disc brake at the font and 220MM petal disc brake at the back. It offers 100/80 section 17 inches tyre at the front and 130/70 section 17 inches tyre at the back.

Suspension

Here you get 37MM chunky forks in front and it offers mono shock absorbers as a rear suspension. I rode this bike and felt, it offers quite impressive suspension and you can’t feel any jerk in this scooter.

Conclusion

In our opinion Hero Motocorp has tried to give its best in this bike and It should be a great bike in its segment. It will compete with Pulsar 160NS, Apache RTR 160 4V & Suzuki Gixxer as well. The price of this bike will be the game changer for the bikes, the prices are not disclosed yet. If you compare it with its competitors so, you may find it performs very well.
