TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6 long term review

TVS Apache RTR is one of the best bike series in the TVS portfolio, it offers better looks, power and performance as well.  When I took TVS Apache RTR 1604V for review I found it was performing impressively. I was totally impressed with its performance. Here in ROTAQ we are going to discuss about it in deep.

Looks

First of all, let’s talk about looks so here the same looks are on offer as we have seen in Apache RTR 200 4V. it offers better looks as compared to its competitors, what’s your opinion please let me know in the comment box below. The fuel tank looks very muscular and dynamic as well. Here you get side positioned fuel lid which makes it sportier. 3 Colour options are on offer (Red, Blue & Black). Matt Colour option is still not available, if was there so it could be a better choice. Where competitors are offering matte color option.

Headlamp

When we talk about headlamp so TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6 offers LED headlamp which looks quite different from its competitors. I rode this bike and found the night visibility of this headlamp is quite impressive, as compared to its predecessor.

From the rear it as same as its previous model, here you get LED tail lamp, which also looks decent.

Performance

One of best thing in this bike is performance, it offers best engine performance in this price range. Here you get 160 cc 4 valve single cylinder Fuel injected engine which generates 15.8Ps power and 14.6 Nm of torque. The low end of this bike is impressive, it gets 0-60 in just 4.6 second segment. I am already using its BS4 variant and I couldn’t find any problem in this bike. You can say it’s a reliable bike. As you know it’s a BS6 complaint engine so you can’t find carburetor there.

Meter Console

The thing which you like most in this bike is the digital meter which offers lots of information. Here you get top speed recorder, lap timer, gear position indicator as well. This is fully digital meter console, but you can’t find Bluetooth connectivity feature as you have seen Apache RTR 200 4V. The information is visible at all. Side stand indicators are not on offer which is also a disappointment in this bike.

Mileage

Here you get 45-50KMPL easily, according to company it offers better efficiency as compare to its BS4 avtaar. I am using BS4 model and I am getting 45-50 KMPL easily. But the mileage depends on your riding conditions. In highways you get better mileage.

Price

Apache RTR 160 4V starts from Rs 100950 (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The price very completive as compare to its competitors. it offers plenty of features in this price tag. In BS6 variant, the price has been increased but it happened with all BS6 models of all vehicles.

Conclusion

In TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6, you get all class leading features, it offers better power as compared to its competitors in this price range. One thing which I don’t like is the side stand, which positioned upright so I used to forget to pull it up and there is no side stand indicator to remind you.
